David Wray Automotive, Inc was founded in 1997 and is located two miles west of Buffalo Minnesota.   The shop has been a NAPA AutoCare Center since 2003- providing NAPA parts backed by the Peace of Mind warranty. Technicians are ASE Certified and trained and all work is guaranteed. Customer satisfaction is the number one priority; this has lead to a growing business based mostly on word of mouth advertising.   Here you’ll find a small neighborhood shop that combines the “small town” services with the “state of the art” technologies.

The shop is equipped with the latest technology for diagnosing any type of problem and has earned a reputation for honesty, competency and for standing behind their work.  Dave (the owner) has been in the automotive service industry for 35 years, working on both foreign and domestic cars, specializing in Subaru.

Dave Wray – Owner/ Lead Technician

David Wray Automotive, Inc was founded in 1997 by Dave to fulfill his goal of owning and running an independent auto service shop.   His career began in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Canada following completion of Automotive Repair Courses at Sioux College in Sioux St. Marie and Class “A” Motor Vehicle Mechanic Confederation College in Thunder Bay earning an Inter Provincial Scholastic Award which is recognized in all provinces in Canada.  Other certifications include Factory Trained Subaru Senior Master Technician as well as certified for Mazda & Alfa Romeo.

Years spent overseas with the Saudi Arabian Airlines as well as locally at a Minneapolis area Subaru Dealership accumulate to bring over 35 years experience in the automotive trade.  Dave draws on both experience and training to provide exceptional service in his family owned business.

Dave values community involvement- serving recently as Scoutmaster for the local Boy Scout Troop as well as being on the Fire Department and training as a First Responder. On the weekends, Dave will more likely be camping, sailing, hunting or fishing.

Colleen Wray – Office Manager

You will likely first meet Colleen when you call for an appointment or bring your car for service. Colleen reinforces the personal service and friendly atmosphere that you will find at David Wray Automotive.  Colleen joined the company in 2001 to help with the family business and serves as office manager/ customer service and occasional parts runner; she will make sure you know what’s happening with your car. When not scheduling cars, Colleen might be found at local auctions or tending their antique booth at a local “Occasional Sale” location. Many summer weekends will include sailing or a camping trip up north.

Michael Wray – Technician

Mike has been associated with the business since its inception; working along with his Dad to grow the business from the family garage to the full service shop it is today.  Mike completed the Automotive Service Technician course at St. Cloud Tech and is also ASE certified as a Master Automobile Technician, in all 8 areas.

Mike became an Eagle Scout in 2002 as a member of Troop 358 in Buffalo.  He enjoys hiking, backpacking and biking; but he is primarily focused on Rally Racing.  He recently successfully completed Tip O’Neil’s driving school located in New Hampshire.  Follow his racing by visiting www.Rally-America.com to view the racing schedule.
